The NBA regular season just ended, which means the playoffs will begin shortly! This is great news to any NBA basketball fan, because this is when the superstars really start to shine and show what they really have. Sixteen of the thirty teams in the NBA make the playoffs.

In the East, the teams are (in order of 1-8 seeds), Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Washington Wizards.

In the first round in the East, the Raptors will face the Wizards which should be an easy game for the Raptors. The Celtics will play the Bucks. The Celtics recently lost their star player, Kyrie Irving, but with a lot of young talent, they should still beat the Bucks. The 76ers will play the Heat, and with the way the Heat has played this season, the chances of them winning are slim. The 76ers are on a 16 game winning streak, and they are ready to demolish whoever is in their path. The last match up is the Cavaliers facing the Pacers. LeBron James will show out as always, so they should beat the Pacers without a problem.

In the West, the teams are (in order of 1-8 seeds), Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, New Orleans Pelicans, San Antonio Spurs, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the first round in the West, the Rockets will face the Timberwolves. The Rockets should not only handle the Wolves, but sweep them. The Warriors will play the Spurs, but the Warriors star player, Steph Curry, is injured and will not eligible to play in the first round. The Trail Blazers will face off against the Pelicans. In this series, the Pelicans are playing well enough to take down the tough Trail Blazers. The Pelicans star player, Anthony Davis, will need to step up and have some big games during this series. The last game is the Thunder facing off against the Jazz. The Thunder should pull off this win, as they have more talent than the Jazz. However, the Jazz have a very talented rookie who goes by the name of Donovan Mitchell, and another big man named Rudy Gobert to help them battle through the series. Gobert is one of the top defenders in the NBA, so this series will be a good one to tune in to.
