The biggest sporting event of the year is less than two weeks away. Last year’s Super Bowl was the most viewed TV event in 2017 totaling 111.3 million viewers. On February 4 at 6:30,  the Patriots will be facing off against the Eagles in U.S. Bank Stadium located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Patriots are coming off a fourth quarter win against the Jaguars to steal the Conference Championship. The Eagles swept the Vikings 38-7 and will continue on to the Super Bowl without their quarterback Carson Wentz. Nick Foles will start coming off a hot week throwing for 352 yards and 3 touchdowns. Both teams finished 13-3 on the season.

The Patriots have been in this position before, they won the Super Bowl in 2017 and hope to win their sixth Super Bowl. The Patriots offense will be in the hands of Tom Brady. The Patriots quarterback looks for his 6th Super Bowl ring. The Eagles on the other hand have been to three Super Bowls and hope to win their first. The Halftime show will be performed by Justin Timberlake which is unusual to have a solo performance at the Super Bowl.

Some interesting facts about the Super Bowl are Super Bowl tickets range from $950 to $5000 this year and a commercial will cost 5.7 million for 30 seconds. The Super Bowl is a win- win situation for both teams, the winning players take home $97,000 per person, while the losing players pocket $49,000. There has yet to be a Super Bowl to reach overtime. Four teams have not made it to the Super Bowl these include, Browns,Jaguars, Lions and Texans. 1.5 billion chicken wings are eaten, that is a lot of chicken. Enjoy the Super Bowl.
