Popeyes Chicken Sandwich is Back

One of the most popular sandwiches America has been dying for is now back after being sold out on August 27th. On Sunday, November 3rd, Popeyes will be returning the chicken sandwich. Their competition is Chick-Fil-A’s chicken sandwich, which has been a popular sandwich for a while now. Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A’s chicken sandwiches are very similar but popeyes has a crispier and more spicy chicken sandwich compared to Chick-Fil-A’s sandwich. Most people, including myself, still prefer the original chicken sandwich, which belongs to Chick-Fil-A. Both places are getting more business because everyone wants to know what all the talk is about. In the end of the last “battle” Chick-Fil-A won because everyone went back to Chick-Fil-A’s sandwiches because Popeyes sold out. This time hopefully Popeyes is more prepared for all of their customers.

Wendy’s tried to come into this war by claiming that they had the best chicken sandwich but no one went for that. When you first try the chicken sandwich from Popeyes, you can’t taste the chicken as well because of the crispness. Chick-Fil-A’s chicken sandwich tastes more like a chicken sandwich. A big factor between these two restaurants is the price of each sandwich. Most of their customers are teenagers don’t have a lot of money. Popeyes chicken sandwich costs $3.05 and Popeyes chicken sandwich costs $3.99. That’s not a big difference but customers will pick the cheaper one and it also tastes better to most people.

A difference in the two sandwiches is that Popeyes uses a brioche bun and Chick-Fil-A uses a gluten free bun. Popeyes also includes a choice between mayonnaise or a spicy Cajun sauce. There is not a lot of choices with Chick-Fil-A’s chicken sandwiches. A big difference that Popeyes always brags about is that Popeyes is open on all seven days of the week while Chick-Fil-A is only open six days a week. Most people say that one rest day a week leads to success. The reason that they are closed on Sundays is because of the founder’s Christian faith. They still unhold this decision today despite the constant bashing from other restaurants but they still remain on top.

So Chick-Fil-A won the first war and won my vote for the next because of their original good tasting food.
