Joaquin Guzman(A.K.A. El Chapo)

Many people don’t know who El Chapo is, but he is a very horrible man and one of the highest drug lords in the world. He is currently sitting in isolation in the Supermax prison in Colorado. He is sentenced one life sentence( anywhere from 7-10 years depending on what the judge decided) plus 30 years. He is 62 years old, so he’s more than likely going to die in prison. Honestly, I personally think he deserves to spend the rest of his life in isolation even though it is going to hurt his kids; he made those choices in life. I don’t feel the slightest bit bad for him. He killed about 2,000-3,000 people and has escaped 2 different prisons.

El Chapo has three wives. Personally, I think that that is awful. If you love somebody, there should only be one person; but if that’s how they live, then that’s how they live. One of El chapo’s sons, Arturo Beltrán Leyva, was killed by one of El Chapo’s gang members. The shooter had thought Leyva was a rival drug lord of El Chapo. Arturo was shot and killed due to his dad telling his crew to fire at the ‘supposed rival drug lord’. Guzman’s family blamed El Chapo for it. I do believe it was his fault; if it wasn’t this way, Arturo would still be alive and possibly have a happy family of his own. El Chapo has eleven kids, seven of which are nowhere to be found. Honestly, if I were his child, I’d be in hiding too. I would not want to be held hostage by another gang  just so they could get what they wanted out of my “Father”. His youngest kids are seven-year-old twins. Honestly, I think it’s a little gross that he had kids with a 20 year old while he was in his late 50’s.

El Chapo has escaped from three prisons. He escaped from the first one by paying off the ward of the prison. The second one he escaped from was through a tunnel that the secretary of Mexico, Conrado Sol, built for him. In my opinion, Conrado should also have been arrested with Guzman every single time, since his crimes were just as bad. Guzman is currently in colorado where he can not escape because he doesn’t have anybody on his side living in the U.S. I’m very happy that he is in there for the rest of his life. I’m sure it makes many other people relieved that they are a lot safer.

El Chapo was on the run for 21 years before being captured. He is not ever coming out of that prison, thankfully. He is very dangerous, manipulative, and cruel. I truly believe that he deserves anything and everything that happens to him for the rest of his life.
