It’s the Christmas season, and as we all know, the big man up north is making a list and checking it twice. However, he is not the only large fella we know making a list. Today, we will discuss the beautiful benefits of making a list. For most individuals, making a list is very crucial to their productive process on how to get things done. In fact, in order to write this piece, I had to construct a list. I think writing everything out is a good way to look at the bigger picture of your tasks. It narrows it down to a check list, rather than a jumble of words in your head. But of course, there are always factors that stem from how one gets things done. Such as remembrance. Which may in fact, be the most useful quality of a list.

Every day, we are bombarded with our own thoughts. Most of these thoughts are very creative and interesting. They should be written down. These wholesome and creative thoughts always seem to come to us in an unfortunate time. We are usually reluctant to write them down because of laziness. We all can admit that we do this. But after careful observation and experiments, I can certainly confirm that the quality of one’s creative outlets increase exponentially if they adhere to this method.

Of course, there are other factors to consider when making a list, such as gender. To put it bluntly, both men and women perceive the importance and significance of their lists. Men will glance at the list and pick the most important thing to them that they should complete. Women will just start at the first item and complete the entirety of the list. Neither are necessarily right or wrong but it is interesting to consider the differential wiring between male and female. Though this doesn’t mean lists only exist to incite completion. These lists are often a simple illustration of the tasks that the individual should complete. Having one’s items of business laid out before them reduces stress and increases productivity.

As human beings, we strive to accomplish. There is a large variety as to what those accomplishments are, but nevertheless, there are goals made every day. To be honest, this very article would not have existed if it did not take the effort to make a list and write ideas down. Get to work and make the effort. Become the person you want to become. Start now and write it down. Whether that person is honest, acceptable, hard-working, or fun – it starts now.
